Equipment Engineer - Singapore
Position: Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tool builds starting from incoming material to final Systems Test, including general and Customer Special tests.
  • Responsible for integration, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and optical issues.
  • Initiate manufacturing floor escalations.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for issue resolution.
  • Assist Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining area metrics.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities including updating work instructions to implement improvements and eliminate possible errors.
  • Report issues with product changes and enhancements, design, reliability, maintenance problems or bugs, and provide feedback.
  • Participate in training and maintenance of the Sequence of Event (SOE) to ensure quality and reduction in build time.
  • Support and Coordinate supplier OEM calls, ensuring efficient use of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) resources.
  • Submit and Update Requests for Action (RFAs), including closing out findings, creating reports and determine/implement proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create and maintain company documentation, such as manufacturing work instructions, procedures, etc.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3 years related Semiconductor experience
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work well independently or as a part of a team. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and personal interface skills needed.
  • Must be fluent in reading and writing in English. 
  • A strong understanding of electrical or mechanical required.
  • Stong understanding of pneumatic, optical systems; HVAC and cooling/chiller technology is desired. 
  • Ability to understand and analysis computer software implementation and communication.

·Other desirables include experience with:

Position: Manager, Risk Control, EH&S and Security

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Corporate and Customer Service, integrates and manages resources to protect the company from human, physical, and business losses worldwide.

Insurance and Risk Management:

  • Administers all Property, Casualty, D&O, and Executive Line insurance policies; coordinates renewal applications and carrier selection with insurance brokers; uses carrier and broker resources to identify, analyze, reduce and/or transfer risks; administers Property and Casualty insurance claims activity.

Environmental Health & Safety:

  • Assures regulatory compliance for occupational safety requirements including inspections, audits, employee and contractor training; assures compliance with Federal, State, and local record keeping, reporting, licenses applications and registration requirements relating to hazardous materials use, storage, and disposal. Responsible for the maintenance of the company’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, including the registry of Aspects and Impacts, Objectives and Targets, and assuring company compliance with environmental policies and procedures. Supervises EH&S consultants in domestic and international support operations. Establishes and Maintains programs that demonstrate environmental responsibility, and generates progress reports to interested parties.
  • Supervises the Compliance Engineering Manager /Laser Safety Officer responsible assuring product compliance with SEMI, ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, RoHS, WEEE, REACH and other standards relating to product safety and laser safety operations.

Security:

  • Supervises an onsite contract security force; responsible for physical security operations including card access, video surveillance, and adherence to physical security procedures by employees, contractors and visitors; supervises document retention and destruction operations; audits the effectiveness of system security measures for Information Technology operations.

Experience/education required:

  • PC Literate / Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • BS Degree or equivalent (CRA, CPCU, PRM, MIRM, ERM, FIRM)

SPECIAL:  This role will work 1 year in the Software Test Engineering group, then move into the Technical Support department supporting general issues and be the subject matter expert for software escalations.

Responsibilities:
• Train as a Software Test Engineer for the first year. Learn the products, develop and execute test plans, perform defect verifications
• Work directly with customers to integrate new Ultratech s/w releases into their process and support their use cases for Ultratech ECS
• Work in conjunction with Field Service, and Installations, addressing ECS S/W issues
• Apply hands-on support when required or apply direct supervision/training to on-site personnel to address ECS S/W issues
• Receive unresolved customer issues from the field, work to achieve resolution and support customer implementation of resolutions
• Participate in late stages of each major s/w release at the factory and support the rollout to customer 
• Provide detailed customer use cases to Engineering and support and/or execute s/w aspects of customer acceptance tests


Experience/education required:

• Strong understanding S/W Engineering practices (programming, debugging, log analysis) in Windows environment
• Strong understanding of equipment and process control in the Semiconductor Industry 
• Demonstrated proficiency with customer support, issue tracking and management
• Minimum 7 years combined experience in S/W Engineering, S/W Test and Tech Support
• B.S. Degree in CS or technical discipline, or equivalent experience in SW Engineering
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer configuration and tool networking
• Demonstrated experience with large volume data analysis for technical applications
